Page 1 of 2 i bought a polaroid tda-03211c in august of 2007 and have nothing but trouble with the unit since it was purchased.the dvd player quit working just a few weeks after purchase.shotly there after the unit started losing color, the images on the sreen would all turn green and then go to black and white,i have to turn the unit off and then back on to regain color but this only last a short time before the color goes out again. polaroid does give a *** about customer service all they care about is selling the faulty units to make money.never again will i purchase anything with the polaroid name.

I bought a 19'' LCD HDTV from Circuit City on September 18th, 2007, little over a year from now. And it started blacking out a bit in December 07. I SHOULD have called then, but it never happened again until 4 months later. I barely used to the tv. Only for causal viewing on weekends. 3 Hours a week maybe, at most.
So now the thing refuses to show a picture. It shows the Polaroid logo, but after that, nothing. And right before it goes out, I can hear a sizzling sound.
I called today and Polaroid takes me through the usual troubleshooting bullshite that I already tried before. Then the representative gives me another number to call, to talk to a tech. person or something. She didn't bother to tell me that they are closed on the weekends....
I'm absolutely angry at this company. How could they make such a *** product? I mean, the tv itself was an excellent product, up until it decided to check out early. I'm a college student and I just can't afford to buy another television.
Now my PS3 and HDMI cord will go without use.
Don't EVER buy Polaroid televisions.

I purchased a Poloroid 39" LCD a little over a year ago and now I gen NO picture when I turn it on. Football season is coming up and I'm out $1300. The posting on this site only confirms my thoughts that the TV isn't worth salvaging.

Well sounds like to me ,all you folks have a real case here. Someone should find a lawyer and file a class-action suite. for selling and knowing of all the defects (an imperfection that impairs worth or utility ) of this product.

My Polaroid is crap. I purchased my 36" TV in November 2007 as well and now it won't even turn on. I tried taking the plug out to reset...no avail. The little red light just blinks repeatedly. I'm so annoyed. Completely and utterly annoyed with Polaroid.

I have also had similar experiences with Polaroid Tv's.26" Hdtv model # FLM-2634b. I had to have it repaired before it was a year old. The service man said that the motherboard went bad and it was a common problem with these tv's. Half the screen was black and half would function. The company covered that repair. Less than a year later alas, same problem. When I spoke with a polaroid customer service rep she said, Sorry it's no longer under warranty but you can send us back the tv(at my cost) and we can let you purcahse another tv for only $350.00. Why on earth would I do that?! I would NEVER EVER contimplate purchasing another Polaroid product. They are poor quality sold for a quick buck! Do yourself a favor, don't waste your money. Polaroid no longer makes products of quality.

I also bought a 32" and the LCD starting getting black lines over the picture. So i contacted them and they sent a repair guy. He couldn't fix the LCD problem. So Polaroid said they would refund my WHOLE price inlcuding taxes. So i sent the receipt and they send me a check that is 50-60 less than what the FULL price was. They won't answer any of my e-mails anymore... I'm never buying anything from them again...

Bought a 32" LCD from Wal-Mart in November 2007. Picture started to blink out about 3 months out. I would have to power cycle to get the picture back, but 6 months into it, it total lost picture. I was using the composite ports when this problem started happening. I tried several other ports until finally finding a port, side VGA ports, that worked. I would agree that TV's are not manufactured to any quality standards any more. My 19" Sony from 1988 still works and had a better picture than the Polaroid
